03 Mar 09 Hyundai Reports Sales for February 2009 with 1.5% Decline

Hyundai reported sales report for February 2009 with 30,621 units sold, which is a decline of 1.5% compared with same period last year.

1.5% of decline is considered good performance during the economic stree as many auto makers are experiencing more than 30% of drop in sales.

The Hyundai Sonata, the midsize family sedan from Hyundai,  had 4,743 units sold in February 2009. However, 8,538 units of the Hyundai Sonata were sold in last February, which translates into a 45.5% decline.

The Hyundai Santa Fe, the midsie SUV from Hyundai, posted 5,223 units.

The best-selling Hyundai car last month is the Hyundai Elantra, the compact sedan from Hyundai, with 8,978 cars sold. Compared with February 2008, only 6,750 units were sold, it is an amazing increase of 33%.

The all-new Hyundai Genesis, the luxury sedan from Hyundai, posted a sales of 1,263 units.
