As gas price keeps going up, people would not buy those gas monster SUVs and trucks as usual, but how about those CUV(Crossover SUV)? Do consumers tend to not to purchase a Crossover Sports Utilities Vehicle?
Car makers could have the same feeling, at least Mazda probably think so. On Edmunds, the Zoom-Zoom compact cross over has TMV (True Market Value) price is $24818 for a Base FWD CX-7 for our neighborhood, zip code 10012. However, we got an email saying people could have all in-stock brand new 2008 Mazda CX-7 for $5000 below invoice, which is around $19500 for the car with TMV price $24818. Yes, dealers could play games and tricks, but not for difference of $5000. With an offer from email of $19999, which is way under invoice, there must be somthing going on. For car shoppers looking to buy a 2008 Mazda CX-7, no reason to pay invoice or TMV amount for this car.
